Ocean Bound Plastic
While we would also like to use plastic retrieved from the ocean for our bottles, unfortunately, exposure to the sun and salt degrades plastic making it ineligible to be recycled anew into food-grade plastic.
Our Ocean-Bound Plastic is collected and processed under strict labor standards. Every factory, aggregation site and collection center subscribe to a zero-tolerance policy regarding child labor with penalty of immediate exclusion from the program for any breach.
Ocean Health
The ocean is a vital part of our planet's ecosystem, providing numerous benefits to both humans and marine life. It covers over 70% of the Earth's surface and is responsible for producing more than half of the world's oxygen supply.
In fact, it is considered the number one source of oxygen on our planet. However, despite its importance, the ocean is also highly vulnerable to pollution and global warming. Due to human activities, such as plastic waste disposal and carbon emissions, the ocean is increasingly becoming polluted and its health is deteriorating rapidly.
It is concerning that despite being the source of so much life-giving oxygen, the ocean remains one of the least looked after areas on Earth. This is why it is crucial for us to take action and make a positive impact, starting with addressing the issue of ocean bound plastic.
By reducing our use and disposal of single-use plastics, we can help protect the health and well-being of our oceans and ultimately, ourselves. Let's be mindful of how our actions affect the ocean and work towards preserving its health for future generations to come.
As responsible inhabitants of this planet, it is our duty to take care of the ocean, a source of life and beauty. So let's come together and make a difference by reducing our plastic waste and promoting sustainable practices for the benefit of our oceans' health.
